Joel and his wife, Netiva Caftori, joined Beth Emet with the merger of TJM. Between the two congregations, they have been members for thirty years. He has three daughters and four grandchildren spread across the country from California to Florida. Joel, a CPA, received his BA and MBA from the University of Wisconsin, and recently retired from a career in financial and human capital management consulting and operations. Joel is delighted to be a member of such an enlightened and spiritual congregation. He splits his time evenly between Evanston and Tel Aviv, and enjoys cooking and writing when not traveling the world.
