Jane has been a member of Beth Emet for over 50 years. She grew up in suburban New York, and she first joined when she married Greg Wintroub. He has been a member of the synagogue along with his mother, Ruth Wintroub, for 66 years. Jane and Greg raised their three children, Shana, Noah and Jeremy in Wilmette. All three children attended Beth Emet Sunday and Hebrew schools through B’nai Mitzvah, Kabbalah Torah and High School. Jane also celebrated her adult Bat Mitzvah at Beth Emet in 1987. In other words Beth Emet has been an integral part Jane’s entire adult life.
Jane and Greg were college sweethearts at Washington University in St. Louis. They both recently retired from their automotive parts distribution business which they started in 1972. They are the proud grandparents of 4 girls and 3 boys ages 6-16. They currently live in the West Loop. They both love to travel both to see their bicoastal families and to experience the world. For the last two winters they have traveled for 7-week spans to South America and to Australia and New Zealand respectively.
Jane and Greg have previously served on the Beth Emet Board and on various committees. Together they chaired the Mitzvah Campaign for in 2015 and 2016. Jane has served several stints on the Finance Committee.
