On Saturday, August 16, over 50 Kahalniks (Beth Emet-ease for anyone who comes to our Saturday morning service, lovingly named Kahal) gathered following a lively Tot Shabbat service co-led by Cantor Young and Lauren Reeves. With members new and old in attendance, it was a lovely opportunity to worship in nature. Kol hakavod to Lauren Reeves for masterful storytelling; Cantor Young for bringing it (always); Dr. Eliana Chavkin on her incredibly erudite yet beautifully accessible D’var Torah; Pierce Boydbagby for everything; Rony St. Victor and Michael Louime for the heavy lifting; and Butch Mayer for keeping us safe.
