Joel and his wife, Margaret, joined Beth Emet in 2007. They have three children: Hannah (21), Josh (21), and Jacob (19), who all attended Beit Sefers and celebrated their B’nai Mitzvah at Beth Emet. Joel grew up in Sherman Oaks, California, received a B.A. from UCLA, and a J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. From 2003 to 2008, Joel was a partner in a small Chicago law firm. In 2008, Joel founded his own law firm, where he continues to focus on business and real estate matters. He has served as co-president of the Evanston Baseball and Softball Association and was a long-time coach of his children’s sports teams. Joel enjoys traveling, playing softball, and spending time with his family.
