Hollis, her husband Mike, and son Spencer joined Beth Emet in 2013 soon after they moved to Lincolnwood. They sought an inclusive, socially conscious Synagogue to welcome their interfaith family, and found it in Beth Emet. Spencer celebrated his Bar Mitzvah in 2019, surrounded by family and friends from around the country.
Hollis is the Director of Public Relations at the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She has worked in communications in the healthcare sector for most of her career, except for the three years she lived in Barcelona, Spain. She was lucky enough to snag a job at the 1992 Olympics and had the experience of a lifetime as a media liaison at the swimming venue.
