Please join us as we honor Beth Emet’s Vision Keeper, Lisa Levine, chair of Beth Emet’s Social Justice committee. Lisa is an inspirational leader who has expanded our social justice work and was instrumental in engaging our community during the pandemic at a time when being involved truly made a difference… as it does now. Not only is Lisa’s leadership characterized by empathy and sensitivity, but she also has boundless positive energy. She has fostered the development of many social justice subcommittees as she encourages and mentors others to bring their ideas to fruition.
Along with her social justice work at Beth Emet, Lisa is a speech-language pathologist in the Evanston schools and stays busy as a mom of twins that are freshmen at ETHS. She, her husband and their kids enjoy music, board games, traveling and camping. Lisa is an avid reader and she is also learning to play the bass guitar. And if she’s not home, at school, or at Beth Emet, the next place to look would be Linne Woods Forest Preserve.
Proceeds from the Vision Keepers Dinner support Interfaith Action’s programs at the Hospitality Center for the Homeless, local soup kitchens, Produce mobile, winter overnight shelter, and winter warming centers.
