Winter Gear is Still Needed for the Coat Drive!

Coat Drive evergreen

The Rabbi Peter and Elaine Knobel Soup Kitchen at Beth Emet is holding its yearly Winter Coat and Warm Accessory Drive in early December.  We welcome your donations of new and gently used/freshly cleaned adult sized coats and winter accessories. The emphasis is on quality over quantity; please no discount store acrylic items, as they are not warm.

Men’s and Women’s adult-sized items needed by December 8:

  • Warm Coats – all sizes, especially men’s XL – 5XL
  • Winter Boots – for both men and women
  • Warm accessories – emphasis on quality

Items can be placed in the large wooden bin located in the hallway at Beth Emet when the building is open – or on Leslie and Stuart Shulruff’s front porch, 1140 Forest Ave, Evanston (porch is on Hamilton); anytime!

The number of guests coming to the Soup Kitchen has been rising and we expect an increased need this year! Help get the word out and please share this info with your friends and family! Your generosity is most appreciated. Questions?  Contact Leslie Shulruff at zamaed@comcast.net
