Share Your Photos – Help Bring Our 75th Anniversary Mural to Life!

Dear Friends,

Since the kickoff of our 75th Anniversary Mural Project on June 7, the Archive Team has been busy diving into the Beth Emet archives—rediscovering photos, documents, and stories that reflect the heart of our community.

At the anniversary celebration, many of you shared meaningful memories about how Beth Emet has touched your lives. Now, we’d love your help once again—this time, to show those stories through photos!

We’re looking for photographs that capture the spirit of our community—the laughter, learning, travel, and togetherness that make Beth Emet so special. Think of images from:

  • Congregational or community retreats
  • OSRUI (large group photos preferred)
  • Clergy-led trips (Israel, Europe, etc.)
  • School programs or youth adventures
  • Beth Emet milestone events and celebrations

To maintain our focus on shared experiences, we’re not seeking personal life-cycle photos (such as weddings or kabbalat mitzvahs), but rather those that capture our life together as a community. As a reminder, the mural’s narrative structure will be organized around the following guiding principles:

  • Beit Tefilah – House of Prayer
  • Beit Sefer – House of Learning
  • Beit Knesset – House of Communal Gathering
  • Beit Tzedek – House of Righteousness
  • Beit Hesed – House of Love and Compassion

Please send photos to the following address: bethemetmuralproject@gmail.com, and when you upload your photos, please label each file with the decade and event—for example:

Learning – Adult Trip to NYC, 2015 or

Gathering – Soup Kitchen 20th Anniversary Celebration, 2024

Like the written memories you’ve graciously shared during the mural kickoff event, we have limited space on the mural wall, but would like to collect as many congregational photos as possible to add to our Beth Emet archive. Every photo helps us tell the story of who we are and how we’ve grown—together. Thank you for helping bring the Beth Emet story to life in such a beautiful and meaningful way.

With gratitude,

The Mural Committee and Archive Team
