Marci Dickman (she/her/hers) is a champion of Jewish education as well as Beth Emet’s Director of Lifelong Learning. She serves as Principal of Beit Sefer and oversees the Young Family, Youth and Adult Programs. She also works with Kabbalat Mitzvah students on their Divrei Torah.
With more than 25 years of experience in Jewish education, Marci joined the Beth Emet community in July 2009. Previously she served as Director of Education Services for the Board of Jewish Education and was Executive Director of the Council on Jewish Education Services in Baltimore. Immediately prior to her arrival at Beth Emet, she was Head of School for Solomon Schechter Day School of Metropolitan Chicago.
Marci is a member of the Reform Jewish educators professional organization, ARJE. She holds masters degrees in Jewish Education from the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at the Hebrew Union College and in Special Education from the University of Southern California. She also has completed doctoral studies at Johns Hopkins University in School Administration and in Mild and Moderate Handicaps.
Marci lives in Skokie with her husband, Ralph Schwartz, and has 4 grown children, (one who now lives in Israel with his family) and 4 grandchildren.
