Emmie Weprin (she/her/hers) is delighted to join the Beth Emet community as Director of Youth Engagement. She is passionate about creating meaningful Jewish spaces where children and teens feel connected, supported, and inspired to explore their Jewish identities.
Emmie is currently serving with Avodah Chicago and works as an After School Program Specialist at Girls in the Game. In this role, she has engaged with youth across the Chicagoland area, deepening her commitment to youth development and education. She is excited to bring her experience and enthusiasm to Beth Emet following the conclusion of her Avodah year.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Emmie grew up immersed in Jewish life—attending Jewish summer camp, becoming a bat mitzvah, participating in religious school, and serving as a madricha. These formative experiences greatly influenced her passion for social justice, history, and education.
Emmie graduated from Colorado College in May 2024 with a B.A. in History and a minor in Education. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exploring Chicago, reading, and spending time with her Avodah community.
