Explore how modern Hebrew poetry engages with biblical narrative. The session will pair a biblical story with a Hebrew poem (in English translation) that echoes, reinterprets, or wrestles with it. We’ll start with a brief literary look at the story, then turn to the poem to explore its connection to the source text. Come curious about how our oldest stories keep finding new life. The class is taught by Hanna Seltzer, Beth Emet member and Northwestern University professor.
