Kathy Kaberon

Kathy Kaberon (she/her/hers), Beth Emet’s Director of Young Family Engagement, has dedicated her career to welcoming young children and their families to Jewish living.

Prior to accepting the position as Director of Young Family Engagement in 2020, Kathy served as the Director of Beth Emet’s Early Childhood Program for over 15 years. Kathy began her affiliation with the program in 1988, when she enrolled her son and chaired Beth Emet’s first Early Childhood Committee. She has more than 20 years of teaching experience as a Jewish early childhood educator.

Kathy completed a fellowship with the Jewish Early Childhood Education Initiative, and the Jewish Early Childhood Education Leadership Institute, studying models that combine Jewish values with the best in progressive Early Childhood Education. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from National-Louis University.

Kathy and her husband, Dan, have been members of Beth Emet for over 40 years.
