Fay Lipschultz, a longtime Beth Emet member, was recently selected to be in the first cohort for the Olam Chesed Chevra Kadisha Builders program, sponsored by Kavod v’Nichum, the national organization for chevrae kadisha. Fay was selected with 11 other candidates throughout the United States to strengthen the capabilities of their chevrae kadisha. The program is designed to bring together an intergenerational cohort with a wide range of experiences, knowledge, and perspectives to learn with and from each other. You can read Fay’s full bio and more about the program here.
Please join Fay and her project partner, Barb Schmidt from Mishkan in Chicago, on March 30 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Beth Emet, when they will share their project, Sacred Roots, New Branches. This presentation will explore the history, current activities, and future direction of the Progressive Chevra Kadisha, of which Beth Emet is a founding member. Please register here! Registration will close at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025. If you need to attend virtually, you will be provided the Zoom link shortly before the event.
