We are excited to share that from October 13-20, seven members of Kibbutz Kissufim will join the Beth Emet community. On Friday, October 18 we have will have a special opportunity on Shabbat Sukkot to gather and give a warm welcome to them. We will also be joined by members of Congregation Hakafa, Oak Park Temple, and Temple Beth Israel who have helped to support the Kibbutz with Beth Emet.
During the service, Rabbi Bruce Elder from Congregation Hakafa and Rabbi Rachel Marks from Temple Beth Israel will co-lead worship alongside Rabbi London and Cantor Young. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a potluck dinner, providing a unique opportunity to engage with our guests from Kissufim.
We ask that each household bring a side dish, salad or dessert. The cost will be $14 per person to cover the main entrée before Monday, October 14, and $18 per person through Thursday, October 17.
