Beth Emet Grows Good Citizens! A Family-Friendly Social Justice Event
Who’s Welcome: Families with children of any age — and especially families who are new or unaffiliated. We warmly invite you to join us, bring a friend, and deepen connections to Jewish social justice and each other.
Why Join Us? Come together as a community to build something meaningful with a project open to all children. You’ll: Take a short guided tour of Hilda’s Place / Connections for the Homeless to see its vital work in action (1458 Chicago Ave, Evanston)
Roll up your sleeves and assemble sack lunches for people served by their drop-in program
Special Incentive: Beth Emet families who bring a new friend will be entered into a raffle to grow our circle together!
Why It Matters: Hilda’s Place offers essential services (meals, showers, clothing, case work, and hope) to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Our gathering is more than volunteering. It’s a chance to open doors, build empathy, and act on our Jewish values of justice, compassion, and tikkun olam. We’re proud that this initiative is supported in part by the URJ’s Grow a Good Citizen grant, which encourages Jewish families to engage in civic life and social justice.
