with Claire Sufrin
Fridays, May 3 and 10, 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
This course will explore different aspects of the relationship between religion and literature. We’ll begin with the biblical story of the Binding of Isaac and consider how the way the story is told affects our understanding of Abraham’s actions. Other discussions will consider examples taken from contemporary authors who use narrative to explore the religious experience and/or theological concerns.
$25 member fee, or this class is included if you purchase the Spring term Friday morning package; $35 non-member fee.
