Sundays, November 18, December 16, January 6 & 27, February 10, March 10
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Led by congregants Sue Nadel, Clark Ellithorpe, and Jane Weintraub, Wise Aging, Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit, offers a Jewish, spiritual approach to aging – to reframe what it means to grow older in our society. We will explore together this stage of later adulthood that allows us to more fully appreciate our lives as a gift of time, and to acknowledge this time as all the more precious because it is limited. Wise Aging is about facing the challenges of this period in our lives and examining our thinking and doing – turning the notion of decline into opportunity. Each class involves text study and discussion, mindfulness meditation, gentle movement, traditional religious practices and Tikkun Middot – the cultivation of spiritual qualities. Those over 60 are encouraged to enroll.
