DESCRIPTION:Formerly Stand Against Racism \nMeet at Demster and Ridge (Southwest Corner) \nWe Unite Against Racism every day by raising awareness about the impact of institutional and structural racism and by building community among those who work for racial justice. \nYWCA’s annual Unite Against Racism (formerly Stand Against Racism) provides the opportunity for communities across the United States to unite their voices to educate\, advocate\, and promote racial justice. \nBeth Emet will join this effort with members of Evanston schools\, churches and organizations\, lining Ridge Avenue with signs and noisemakers and drawing the attention of passing vehicles and pedestrians. Our objective: to raise awareness of institutional and structural racism and the fact that Beth Emet stands against such injustice. \nShow your support! Unite Against Racism signs will be available for pick-up at YWCA Evanston/NorthShore\, Crowded Closed in Evanston\, starting the week of March 27\, until supplies last. You can also download and print your own 8.5×11 or 11×17 signs. \nAlso\, bring a noisemaker\, horn\, or bell to make some noise! \nMeet Up at 10:15 and then let’s stand united! \nAfter the Stand\, come to the YWCA\, 1215 Church Street (between Asbury and Ridge)\, and join social justice friends for a discussion and good cheer. \nFor additional information\, contact Bluma Stoler (617) 686-7659
