SUMMARY:Myth\, Reality\, Mythology: The Complexity of Jewish Identity
DESCRIPTION:with Brett Rubin\, Marissa Rubin and Judy (Weiss) Schachter\, colleagues at New Trier High School \nThis 32-poster exhibit was developed to foster curiosity discussion\, and reflection about the complexity of Jewish identity in today’s world. They address questions such as: Is Jewishness a race? What does antisemitism look like today? What is the relationship between Jewish identity\, the origins of the comic book industry\, and modern society? Our time together will include the opportunity to meet the creators\, learn the origin story of the exhibit\, and engage in guided discussion with fellow congregants. The exhibit will be available beginning on November 4. Colleagues at New Trier High School\, they are excited to share with you their contribution to the conversation about identity at New Trier. Judy is a Beth Emet congregant\, and Marissa belongs to Temple Beth El in Northbrook.
