DESCRIPTION:What is prayer? What are we doing when we pray and why is it so difficult? We will try seeing familiar prayers in a new light\, experiencing prayer as poetry\, love song\, conversation\, education changing our consciousness\, a journey\, or as a clarification of who we are and what we need. All this is prayer. We will also try accessing the prayers through different gates: traditional\, musical\, mindful\, and even mystical approaches. \nRabbi Dr. Rivka (Roberta) Glick began her career working with the poor and treating people with brain tumors and severe trauma on the west side of Chicago at Cook County and Mount Sinai Hospitals. Today she is a rabbi\, an important stop on her spiritual path of connection to herself\, to others\, and to the Divine. Her aspiration continues to be bringing kindness and compassion into the world. \nMembers\, click here to register. \nGuests\, click here to register. \n  \nBeth Emet uses budgeted funds and fees to support our adult education program. This year\, instead of individual registration fees for specific classes\, our goal is to secure $4\,000 in donations to cover our costs.
