SUMMARY:Show That We Care - Join Our Zoom Chanukah Candle Lighting with Kibbutz Kissufim
DESCRIPTION:Beth Emet is taking the lead in addressing the needs of Kibbutz Kissufim\, one of the kibbutzim that was attacked and largely destroyed on October 7. Kibbutz Kessufim’s members will be displaced for many months and are currently temporarily housed in an isolated hotel on the Dead Sea. Many of you have been very generous in contributing to our campaign in support of the Kibbutz’s members but we’re still short of our $100\,000 fundraising goal. Click here to learn more about Kibbutz Kessufim and our support\, and click here to donate. \nThe support we can offer the members of the kibbutz is more than just financial\, however. Under the direction of Marci Dickman\, four groups of our Gan Yom Rishon and Beit Sefer students have prepared a Happy Chanukah video message which we have sent to the Kibbutz.  Here’s a link to that video. Now it’s our turn. Working with representatives of the Kibbutz we have arranged for a Zoom candle lighting between our communities in celebration of the sixth night of Chanukah. The candle lighting will take place at 9:30 am Central time (5:30 p.m. Israeli time) on Tuesday\, December 12. We would like to have as many Beth Emet households as possible join the Zoom and fill the screens with menorah lightings\, led by Rabbi London and Cantor Young. Here’s the Zoom link. Let’s show that we care.
