DESCRIPTION:What is prayer? What are we doing when we pray and why is it so difficult? We will try seeing familiar prayers in a new light\, experiencing prayer as poetry\, love song\, conversation\, education changing our consciousness\, a journey\, or as a clarification of who we are and what we need. All this is prayer. We will also try accessing the prayers through different gates: traditional\, musical\, mindful\, and even mystical approaches. \nRabbi Dr. Rivka (Roberta) Glick began her career working with the poor and treating people with brain tumors and severe trauma on the west side of Chicago at Cook County and Mount Sinai Hospitals. Today she is a rabbi\, an important stop on her spiritual path of connection to herself\, to others\, and to the Divine. DESCRIPTION:Beit Sefer is an engaging Jewish learning program for students in Kindergarten through 7th grade. Classes explore Jewish values\, holidays\, Torah stories\, and Hebrew in a supportive and fun environment\, fostering curiosity\, community\, and connection to Jewish life. \nBeit Sefer meets Sundays for Kindergarten-2nd grade learners and Sundays and Thursdays for 3rd-6th grade learners.
