DESCRIPTION:with Brett Rubin\, Marissa Rubin and Judy (Weiss) Schachter\, colleagues at New Trier High School \nThis 32-poster exhibit was developed to foster curiosity discussion\, and reflection about the complexity of Jewish identity in today’s world. They address questions such as: Is Jewishness a race? What does antisemitism look like today? What is the relationship between Jewish identity\, the origins of the comic book industry\, and modern society? Our time together will include the opportunity to meet the creators\, learn the origin story of the exhibit\, and engage in guided discussion with fellow congregants. The exhibit will be available beginning on November 4. DESCRIPTION:The Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve Service is back in-person (as well on livestream) on Wednesday\, November 23 at First Presbyterian Church of Evanston (1427 Chicago Ave\, Evanston). The service will feature keynote speaker: Dr. Gilo Kwesi Logan\, Leadership and Diversity Expert\, and the Interfaith Community Choir led by Hannah Dixon McConnel. \nAll attendees must be vaccinated and masking is requested when not eating. \nRaise your voice with the Community Choir! To join in\, meet in the First Pres Evanston Choir Room at 5:30 the evening of the service for rehearsal and snacks. Email if you would like to receive the choir music in advance.
