DESCRIPTION:Members Register Here \nGuests Register Here \n \nWe are excited to share that from October 13-20\, seven members of Kibbutz Kissufim will join the Beth Emet community.  On Friday\, October 18 we have will have a special opportunity on Shabbat Sukkot to gather and give a warm welcome to them. We will also be joined by members of Congregation Hakafa\, Oak Park Temple\, and Temple Beth Israel who have helped to support the Kibbutz with Beth Emet. \nDuring the service\, Rabbi Bruce Elder from Congregation Hakafa and Rabbi Rachel Marks from Temple Beth Israel will co-lead worship alongside Rabbi London and Cantor Young. Afterward\, we’ll enjoy a potluck dinner\, providing a unique opportunity to engage with our guests from Kissufim. \nWe ask that each household bring a side dish\, salad or dessert.  The cost will be $14 per person to cover the main entrée before Monday\, October 14\, and $18 per person through Thursday\, October 17. \nDon’t miss this special evening of community\, connection\, and celebration!

After completing her IDF service in the paratrooper unit\, she studied elementary education at Seminar Levinsky in Tel-Aviv. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan\, and taught Hebrew language\, literature\, and religious studies in Michigan for twenty-five years.

This class will continue to develop Hebrew reading fluency while exploring the vocabulary\, structure\, and themes of Shabbat worship services and the individual prayers. This class meets a requirement for Adult Kabbalat Mitzvah. \nBluma Stoller is a Beth Emet congregant and a graduate of Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. She was the North American Director of Academic Affairs for Tel Aviv University and was the recipient of Hillel International’s Exemplar of Excellence Award for her commitment to social justice and tikkun olam. She has held leadership positions in major Jewish organizations\, including Project Otzma and the JCRC of Greater Boston.
