His writings include Divine Teaching and the Way of the World (Oxford\, 2011)\, and The Good and the Good Book: Revelation as a Guide to Life (Oxford\, 2015)\, and Being Me Being You: Adam Smith and Empathy (Routledge\, 2019). Sam received his Ph.D. from the Philosophy Department at Yale University\, and taught at Williams College before coming to UIC.
