A Lecture by Yiddish Film Scholar Ronald Robboy
Sunday, February 21 at 1:00pm; Tickets are $10.00
“Not The Jazz Singer, but the Vilner Balebesl.” Robboy will elaborate on the tragic legend that is the basis for Overture to Glory, talking through the film’s rich musical score, illustrating classic film noir techniques, and reinforcing timeless Yiddish literary themes.
