How would it feel to take a break from the regimen and “noise” of everyday life and instead focus on renewal of mind, body, and spirit? Drum circles offer the perfect opportunity to do just that. Playing hand drums and small percussion instruments, we will create a spiritual space that allows us to look both inward to access our personal “heartlands,” and outward to connect with the other participants and the community at large. Previous participants have found these drum circles to be “nurturing,” “calming,” “focusing,” “beautiful,” “restorative,” “energizing,” “supportive,” “community.” Drums and percussion have long played a role in Judaism. They offer a hands-on, non-verbal route to accessing the spiritual and emotional. People of all faiths are welcome. No musical experience is needed, and instruments will be provided (though feel free to bring your own if you have them). Register for one, two, or three sessions, and discover the spirit and power of community drumming.
$10 fee per session or $40 for four-sessions.
